The scope of the sexuality & disability service is to provide specialist assessment and individual therapeutic and group based training to people with disability to support their goals and aspirations in the area of sexuality and relationships. About the role

Key Criteria  

Essential

  1. Tertiary qualifications in psychology a minimum of 5 years post-graduate clinical experience in psychology
  2. Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, and provision of evidence[1]based psychological strategies
  3. Demonstrated understanding of key issues in comprehensive Primary Health Care, particularly in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of adults and young people
  4. Experience providing therapy support for children, adolescents, and adults with a disability
  5. Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team and working in collaboration with other service providers
  6. Eligible to provide services under the NDIS, Medicare and private health insurance

Desirable

  1. Demonstrated skills in providing sexuality and relationships knowledge assessment and positive behaviour support strategies for people with disability
  2. Previous experience in designing, delivering and evaluating group based training

 

Mandatory requirements:
