organisation and all staff within the organisation are expected to actively support this core value.About the roleThe Medical Director has overall responsibility to advise the Chief Executive Officer on all medical matters in relation to the activities of Family Planning NSW.This includes advising on the medical content in relation to:Family Planning NSW clinical governance, including clinical policies, procedures, resources and general communications materialFamily Planning NSW clinical education programsFamily Planning NSW Talkline and Pregnancy Choices Helpline information the development and maintenance of clinical standards in Family Planning NSW, in collaboration with the Director Integrated Health Services, the Director of Planning, Education and International Programme, and the Director of Research.The Medical Director has a clinical service delivery role and will participate in the delivery of professional education courses and activities.The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring organisational compliance with professional medical standards, the clinical content of professional education programs, and the effective development and maintenance of relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.The position will work to strengthen Family Planning NSW clinical and education programs and services by identifying and being involved in the implementation of new opportunities and service models, with a focus on relevant target groups.About youThe position calls for an experienced medical professional with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, who can demonstrate strong leadership and effective delegation, with the capacity for innovation and change.Selection CriteriaQualificationsPrimary Medical Degree with current AHPRA registration as a medical practitionerFPAA Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health (or equivalent)EssentialDemonstrated capacity to negotiate and implement change, and positively influence others in achieving agreed outcomesClinical leader in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of clients in the area of reproductive and sexual healthExperience in and commitment to post graduate education and training for medical, nursing and other health and education professionalsDemonstrated effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to provide leadership and work within a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated experience in the effective management of complaints and conflictDemonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement and accreditationCommitment to clinical and non-clinical research and evaluationKnowledgeUnderstanding of project management principlesSound knowledge of current reproductive and sexual health and rights mattersComprehensive knowledge of adult learning principlesExperienceStrong leadership skillsExtensive clinical experience in the field of reproductive and
