International Health Promotion OfficerFixed Term Full-Time Position available (to 23 Dec 2022)Newington, NSW Location About Family Planning NSW Family Planning NSW is the leading provider of reproductive and sexual health services in NSW.  As an independent not-for-profit organisation we offer expert clinical care, information and advice for everybody in every family as well as education and training and evidence-based research to support doctors, nurses and other professionals. Family Planning NSW is committed to excellence in meeting the reproductive and sexual health needs of the community.  We achieve this by providing best practice, accredited clinical services, enhancing the knowledge and skills of service providers, improving the body of knowledge about reproductive and sexual health through rigorous research and evaluation, and leading international development projects to promote the rights of marginalised people in developing countries. Our Values Family Planning NSW is a pro-choice organisationMust support the Family Planning NSW values COVID Vaccination In accordance with NSW Public Health Orders, all staff employed by Family Planning NSW are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19. About the roleThe International Health Promotion Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) promotion and education, including comprehensive sexuality education (CSE), in community settings across the Pacific.The position is part of the International Programme team is responsible for implementing a range of projects that aim to increase access to quality sexual and reproductive health and rights education and services, through capacity development approaches with our partners across the Pacific.The International Health Promotion Officer will provide technical assistance in the review, adaptation, development and localisation of resources and training programs on sexual and reproductive health and rights promotion, including training of trainer and peer education models. There will be a particular focus on reaching young people in out-of-school settings and supporting healthcare and community workers to provide youth-friendly services.The position may be required to travel to Pacific countries as part of project activities which may include after hours and weekend travel (pending travel restrictions).
